Easter Lunch in the Chianti Hills

March 18, 2026
April 5th, 2026

There’s something undeniably enchanting about celebrating Easter in the heart of the Tuscan countryside. As the days lengthen, the air fills with the fragrant aroma of wildflowers, and the rolling hills of Sienese Chianti seem to bask in a gentle, golden light—inviting you to slow down and truly relish each moment.

The Country Hotel Casolare Le Terre Rosse, located near San Gimignano, is perfect for days like these. Nestled within four hectares of parkland, shaded by sprawling olive trees, slender cypress trees, and blossoming fruit trees, the estate truly comes alive in spring. Bordering the Castelvecchio Nature Reserve and far removed from the noise of the crowds, this tranquil corner of Tuscany presents an ideal backdrop to rediscover the essence of celebration: good company, a generous spread, and the simple pleasures that linger long after the meal ends.

Easter here is a day dedicated to conviviality, rich with the deep-rooted flavors of Tuscan tradition.

Experience the Soul of Tuscany at Hostaria Terre Rosse

Stepping into Hostaria Terre Rosse, the ambiance speaks for itself. With its exposed wooden beams, terracotta floors, and thoughtfully curated details, the space radiates warmth and effortless elegance—an authentic rustic refinement that feels genuine.

In the kitchen, Chef Maurizio Cambi harnesses the local ingredients to craft dishes that are both contemporary and deeply rooted in Tuscan culture. The wine list is a delightful journey through the surrounding hills, featuring celebrated Chianti labels and carefully chosen bottles from small, local producers, each selected to enhance the experience.

Spring on Your Plate

This Easter, just like in previous years, we’re thrilled to present our approach to hospitality: a full à la carte menu. We embrace the idea of culinary freedom, allowing each guest to create their own dining experience by selecting dishes that catch their fancy and combining flavors as the mood inspires.

For this special occasion, Chef Cambi has curated an array of dishes that beautifully narrate the story of a Tuscan spring. With seasonal ingredients and flavors that draw from local traditions, each dish strikes a harmonious balance between cherished memories and innovative creativity.

The Chef's Selection

The meal begins with a delightful surprise: Aranciccia, featuring pillowy smoked provola combined with a delicate leek sauce, brightened by sweet, slow-roasted cherry tomatoes.
Among the pasta offerings, the handmade tortelli filled with Tuscan black kale and ricotta stands out—an intensely regional blend served alongside a creamy cannellini bean puree, crispy sausage, and roasting juices. This dish showcases a medley of textures and flavors that are both hearty and refined.

For the main course, two special dishes highlight the essence of the season. A herb-crusted rack of lamb—tender, aromatic, and perfectly at home on a spring table—is paired with pan-tossed artichokes, capturing the freshness of this time of year. For those who prefer grilling, our rib-eye tagliata is available in generous 150g or 250g portions, served with oven-baked Pachino tomatoes and aged pecorino—simple, confident cooking that allows the quality of the meat to shine.

To conclude the meal, indulge in a beloved Italian classic: zuppa inglese, a luxuriously soft and comforting layered dessert, making for the perfect finale to a leisurely Easter lunch.

Choosing Casolare Le Terre Rosse for Easter is about much more than just a meal. It’s about inhaling the clear, crisp air of the Chianti countryside, wandering among the olive trees and cypresses, and allowing yourself to drift along with the serene, unhurried rhythm of the Tuscan hills.

Reserve your table at Hostaria Terre Rosse for a memorable Easter celebration amidst the enchanting hills of the Sienese Chianti.
