Henri Cartier-Bresson’s photographic exhibition in San Gimignano

Are you a photography fan?

Or are you just a lover of photographic exhibitions that allow you to observe life’s magical moments?

We are asking you these questions because today we have decided to talk about Henri Cartier-Bresson, who is certainly known to the most experienced in the photographic field.

He was a French photographer born on August 22, 1908 in Chanteloup-en-Brie and died on August 3, 2004 in L’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue at the age of 96. Nowdays he is considered one of the top exponents and the pioneer of photo journalism, to the point of earning the title of Occhio del Secolo (the Eye of the Century). He was able to conquer a large audience bringing to their eyes the reality of surrealist photography.

His long life has allowed him to collect countless photographic shots that are able to re-illuminate with great vitality the historical moments in which they were made. His beautiful photographs do not deserve too many explanations, so we want to publish some of his photographs below. (click on an image to enlarge it)

We are aware that just putting only these photos is too reductive, that is why we want to let you know about his photographic exhibition that will be able to give his art more emphasis and merit.

From 16th June to 15th October at the Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art “Raffaele De Grada” in San Gimignano, you will be able to see 140 of its best hits. Visit the site for info and details of the show.
